About Jourda Mental Hub

Connecting Kenya to mental wellness, care, training and recovery.

Jourda Mental Hub is Kenya's one-stop digital platform for mental health — a single, stigma-free place where anyone can find trusted professional care, understand what they or a loved one may be facing, and take a clear next step. We exist because finding mental health support in Kenya is still harder than it should be: services are scattered, information is confusing, and reaching out can feel intimidating. We bring it together, in plain language, in one place.

What you can do here

Find trusted care. Our directory connects you with counsellors, psychologists, psychiatrists and therapists across Kenya — searchable by specialization, language and whether they work online or in person. Alongside individual professionals, we list therapy and counselling centres, mental health hospitals and clinics, holistic wellness practitioners, and non-profit support organizations, so you can find the kind of help that fits your situation.

Understand what you're facing. Our plain-language library explains common mental health conditions — from depression and anxiety to trauma, ADHD and dementia — including the signs to look for, when to seek help, and what treatment can involve. A companion section covers the mental health side of living with medical conditions such as cancer, diabetes, HIV, chronic pain and caregiving. Everything is written to inform, never to diagnose.

Book an appointment. You can book a consultation or therapy session directly through the platform, online or in person, with clear pricing shown upfront.

Learn, train and grow a career. For current and aspiring professionals, we map the training landscape: universities and TVET institutions offering psychology and counselling programmes, short professional courses from CBT to psychological first aid, and the certification pathways set by Kenya's regulators.

Support your workplace. Our corporate wellness services help organisations — from government and banking to NGOs, universities and hospitals — care for their people through employee assistance programmes, workplace counselling, burnout prevention, stress management and policy development.

Equip yourself. Our store offers practical wellbeing tools — journals, mindfulness resources, CBT worksheets and self-paced courses — with assessment tools intended for use by qualified professionals clearly marked as such.

How we keep it trustworthy

Mental health care in Kenya is regulated, and we take that seriously. Counselling and psychology are governed by the Counsellors and Psychologists Board (CPB); medical and psychiatric practice by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC); and facilities must be licensed under Kenyan law. Every professional and facility listed on Jourda Mental Hub goes through a verification process, and each listing shows its registration status openly — including when verification is still pending. We would rather tell you honestly that a check is in progress than let an unverified claim stand.

The same honesty applies to our content: our condition library and medication information are educational only. We don't diagnose, we don't prescribe, and we never suggest starting or stopping any medication without a licensed prescriber.

If you are in crisis

Jourda Mental Hub is an information and directory service — not an emergency service. If you or someone near you is in immediate danger, contact emergency services right away on 999, 112 or 911. Our Crisis Support page, reachable from the red button on every page of this site, keeps this information one click away — because reaching out when things feel overwhelming is a sign of strength, not weakness.

For professionals

If you're a registered counsellor, psychologist, psychiatrist or therapist, we'd love to list you. Apply through our Join as a Professional page — submit your registration details, we verify them with the relevant board, and your profile goes live. Listing is free while we grow the network.

Our commitment

We handle personal information in line with Kenya's Data Protection Act, we verify before we publish, and we build everything on this platform around one idea: that every Kenyan deserves a clear, dignified path to mental wellness — and that finding help should never be the hardest part of healing.
